Many years ago the Telegraph quoted me in its blog roundup. I can’t even remember the specifics of the news story. But the gist was that Tony Blair was dealing with some event involving anti-social behaviour.
I published a blog post that wasn’t particular kind or inclusive about this anti social behaviour. For all I know the behaviour was so bad that criticism was warranted. But the language I used and the attitude behind my words was poor.
The Telegraph quoted me as an amusing comment – sort of the surfboarding “and finally” hamster at the end of the ten o’clock news. I tended to write silly satirical articles back then, but taken out of context and only seeing the Telegraph quotes made me rather sad I wrote something like that.
So if you’ve found your way here from that ancient Telegraph article I just want to say that I am genuinely sorry for the words I wrote and the thoughts that made me write them.
And if you found your way by any other means I also want to say sorry too.
